Accepted Items

Indy Kids Sale is a seasonal consignment sale.  Please see list below of items not accepted during the spring or fall sales.

  • Seller minimum – 30 items
  • Seller hanging item maximum spring– 175 hanging items – this limit refers to actual hangers and not the number of items on a hanger. 
  • Seller hanging item  maximum fall – 150 hanging items – – this limit refers to actual hangers and not the number of items on a hanger. 
  • No clothing limit on winter coats, size baby to 14 (fall sale), pjs (12 months and up), costumes (fall sale), swimwear, size baby to 14 (spring sale).

 ACCEPTED ITEMS

Clothing size infant – teen (any item over size 14 will be considered “teen”)
Clothing that is current in style (think no more than five years old when choosing clothing for the sale), pajamas (fleece accepted year round), accessories, jackets, etc.  We only take seasonal clothing items (see list below for items not accepted).   **Please note: teen sizing has no unlimited categories.

Halloween and Dress-up
Halloween costumes from baby to teen are unlimited at our fall sale. At our spring sale we only accept dress-up outfits size 2T-6. It is our experience that dress-up outside of these sizes do not sell at the spring sale.

Women’s workout attire
Women’s workout attire in excellent condition will be accepted.  These items do count towards your hanging limit.  Sports bras will not be accepted.

Children’s shoes
Shoes in excellent condition will be accepted up to size 6.5.

Kids/Baby toys
Most types of toys are accepted. Games, dolls, puzzles, barbies, action figures, rattles, etc. Stuffed animals that have a function (mostly battery operated will be accepted) along with stuffed animals that are brand new with the tags on.

Baby Gear
Strollers, carseats (must meet requirements below) swings, exersaucers, bouncy seats, baby carriers, high chairs, Johnny jumpers, bumbo seats,etc.

Linens
Crib sheets, Pack-n-play sheets, mattress pads along with baby blankets will be accepted. We do not accept home-made blankets (think crocheted/knitted baby blankets). As much as we love the time it took to make these, they just don’t sell well.

Baby Items
Diaper bags, changing pads, potty seats,  bottles (bottles that are brown or yellow from wear will not be accepted), dishes, feeding equipment, nursing items, boppy pillows (excellent condition) etc.

Furniture
Kids/infant furniture: cribs, dressers, table and chairs, rockers, changing tables, etc. If you plan to sell a crib please read through the “Can I sell my crib” info sheet to make sure your crib is compliant.  If you plan to sell a crib mattress with your crib or toddler bed, it must be sold as a set.  We can not sell the mattress alone.  Cribs and toddler beds are the only beds that will be accepted.

Books and Video Games
Children’s books (no torn pages, writing or chewed edges accepted) and video games.  We do not accept video games that have a rating of mature audience. Please remember that all unsold books will be donated to an awesome organization that fills books in little free libraries.

Teen Items (anything over size 14)
Click here for list of accepted items. Each consignor can bring a maximum of 30 pieces of teen clothing.  Any clothing item that is above a size 14 will be considered a teen item and will be counted towards your maximum of 30 items.  Teen items are sized by XS, S, M, L and XL.  Please use the appropriate sizes in the drop down menu when tagging your items.  If they are tagged incorrectly they may end up in the wrong size and will be less likely to sell.

Sports Teams and Equipment
Any sports equipment that children to teen use is accepted. Must be in good condition. We accept clothing from any professional sports teams, Indiana colleges, Big 10 schools and Hamilton County high schools.

Outdoor Play Equipment
Yard toys, riding toys, wagons, bicycles, scooters, sandboxes, little tykes play sets, swings, etc.


 ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED:

  • SPRING – Heavy Winter Coats, Winter Hats, Gloves, Boots, Heavy Sweaters, winter corduroy – please understand that this is a sample list and all items will be carefully screened for season and quality by the Indy Kids Sale staff.
  • FALL – Swimsuits, Shorts (unless boys size 10 and up), Tank Tops, Flip Flops, Sandals – please understand that this is a sample list and all items will be carefully screened for season and quality by the Indy Kids Sale staff. We will accept some short sleeve shirts.  They must be shirts that can be layered, character shirts, solid shirts (all one color that would be worn under another shirt for warmth) or polo shirts.  Even with these examples we will be selective in the fall.
  • Underwear, socks and Bras Exception: Kids underwear and socks (not bras) that are brand new and in an unopened package or NWT will be accepted along with clean, laundered and bleached training pants and cloth diapers.

  • OPENED PACKAGES OF LITTLE GIRL’S PLAY MAKE-UP
  • GRAB BAGS (this would be a bag that has toys in it that don’t go together.  For example, a bag with bouncy balls, a spiderman toy and a sponge bob toy).
  • PARTIALLY USED CRAFT PRODUCTS
  • ITEMS THAT YOU RECEIVED FOR FREE (Ex: hospital diaper bags and books, books from chick-fil-a, McDonalds toys, etc.)
  • CAR SEATS: car seats that are more than five years old (to the last day of the sale), recalled, damaged, in an accident or unclean will not be accepted. You must be the first owner of the car seat and be able to fill out the history report of the car seat.
  • PLEASE SELECT YOUR ITEMS CAREFULLY AS EVERYTHING IS CHECKED AT DROP-OFF. If something is missed at drop off and later is found to not be acceptable, it will be pulled from the sale.  We reserve the right to refuse any item that we feel may not sell.

PLEASE NOTE:  It is the CONSIGNOR’S RESPONSIBILITY, as seller of the items, to make sure none of their items have been recalled. Please make sure you have thoroughly read through the consignor agreement that you are asked to sign during the registration process.


 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • PLEASE BRING YOUR CLOTHING ORGANIZED BY GENDER AND BY SIZE TO YOUR APPOINTMENT. The hangers need to be rubber banded together by size and gender.
  • Consignors will grab a rolling rack and unload their items.  Once unloaded you can take the rolling rack around the sales floor to drop your items where they go.  Team members will be available to direct and help you as go.  One your items are placed on the sales floor, please check in with a sale assistant to confirm drop-off and to pick-up your consignor shopping pass.  Once this is done, you are welcome to leave.  Items will be inspected throughout the day and anything that isn’t accepted will be kept for you to pick-up during the consignor pick-up time after the sale.
  • It is the consignors responsibility to not submit items that have been recalled or damaged.
